Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Gravity Blue

Ahead of the BaselWorld 2017, the house of Maurice Lacroix announces the launch of its new Masterpiece Gravity timepiece. The highly complex model, which was introduced at BaselWorld 2014, marks an important milestone in the history of watchmaking. This is the world's first timepiece to feature a fully sillicone assortment. The innovative, cutting-edge model, is distinguished by its offset dial and fully exposed assortment. The exclusive ML230 calibre, unveils  its oscillator and assortment center stage on the dial side of the watch, allowing the wearer to admire the constant beating of the oscillator, along with the pallet lever moving. The watch uses a proprietary hairspring set within a silicon-rich escapement, which is visible on the dial at 8 o'clock.

The Masterpiece Gravity Blue is crafted from satin and polished stainless steel, and generously sized at 43mm in diameter. The screwed case-back with wide sapphire crystal provides a glimpse at the reverse side of the movement, while also protecting the watch from water to a depth of 50 meters. The case accommodates automatic calibre ML230, which beats at a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour. Mounted on 35 jewels, the movement provides around 50 hours of power reserve. Its functions include hours and minutes by off-center hands at 2 o'clock, small seconds by off-centered hand at 4 o'clock, and a visibl Maurice Lacroix assortment and oscillator between 6 and 8 o’clock.
